Wellogic Takes Multiple Top Honors in the 2004 eHealthcare Leadership Awards

Wellogic Consult Wins Platinum and Gold Awards for Best Care/Disease Management Site, Best Overall Internet Site and Best Site Design

Consult received the platinum award for Best Care/Disease Management Site for its medical management tools and information, which help healthcare practitioners and patients to manage chronic conditions and to monitor clinical care through two-way communication. In addition, the solution received a gold award for Best Overall Internet Site, which recognizes delivery of strong health content, interactivity, medical care support, and integration with an organization's operations, as well as strength of Web design and ease of navigation. Finally, Consult won a gold award for Best Site Design for its unusual, attractive, and engaging design, which facilitates access to key clinical information and provides strong branding and excellent usability.

Wellogic faced strong competition in at least two categories. According to eHealthcare Strategy & Trends, the Awards presenter, the Best Health/Healthcare Content, Best Site Design, and Best Overall Internet Site categories drew the most entries this year.

"The number of entries and winners exceeded even last year's record," said Mark Gothberg, eHealthcare Leadership Awards Chairman. "Leading-edge healthcare organizations are continuing to put more emphasis on e-business functions," he noted about one trend that has gathered strength since the awards program's inception in 2000.

Entries receiving 2004 eHealthcare Leadership Awards were selected from 1,202 submissions. The winners of platinum, gold, silver, and distinction awards represented 17 industry classifications, from hospitals and health systems to pharmaceutical firms and online health companies. Wellogic Consult received its awards in the Business/Process Improvement Applications or Products classification. Judges looked at how sites compared with others in their organization's classification, and also reviewed sites based on a proprietary multi-point standard of Internet excellence. The Best Overall Internet Site category, for example, had to pass muster on as many as 56 factors.

In addition to the eHealthcare Leadership Awards, Consult has been named a finalist in the 2004 TETHIE Awards, in the category of Most Innovative Use of IT for Clinical Care Management and Coordination. The TETHIE Awards will be presented November 30, 2004 in Washington, DC, at The Emerging Technologies and Healthcare Innovations Congress (TETHIC). The TETHIE Awards recognize excellence in the areas of innovation and technology as it applies to the future of the healthcare industry.
